Designed as a simple, two-terminal DC device, CleanSource can augment or replace lead-acid batteries by supplying constant power to a UPS system's DC bus and providing engine/generator sets with assured 24 volt starting power.
Using the safe, reliable energy of a low-speed flywheel, CleanSource replaces hundreds of battery terminals with two corrosion-resistant connections. CleanSource also eliminates high-cost problems associated with the maintenance, reliability and periodic replacement of UPS batteries. CleanSource is far more compact than traditional batteries, with packaging that allows up to 800 kW of DC power in a footprint of less than ten square feet!
